How We Ensure Quality: Our 5-Step Inspection Process

Quality inspection on the Shangpinwu production floor

In B2B sportswear, a single defective batch can cost a retail partner an entire season. That is why quality at Shangpinwu is not a final checkbox — it is a five-stage discipline built into every order, from the moment fabric arrives at our dock to the moment cartons are sealed. Over the past twelve months, this system has delivered a 99.2% first-pass acceptance rate across more than 4.6 million units shipped.

From fibre to finished garment

Every quality journey starts before cutting. Our in-house laboratory tests each incoming fabric roll for GSM, shrinkage, colour fastness to washing and perspiration, pilling resistance, and — for performance lines — moisture-wicking and stretch recovery. Rolls that fall outside tolerance never reach the cutting floor. During production, inline QC stations audit stitching, seam strength, and print placement every two hours, so deviations are caught while they are still cheap to correct.

“Quality is designed into the first sample, not inspected into the final carton. By the time goods reach AQL, the outcome should already be decided.” — QC Director, Shangpinwu

The five gates

  • Fabric and trim inspection — mill test reports verified against our lab results; zippers, elastics, and labels checked for function and compliance.
  • In-line inspection — roaming auditors on every line, with hourly recorded checkpoints for critical operations.
  • End-of-line inspection — 100% visual check plus measured garment audits against the approved spec sheet.
  • Pre-final random audit — AQL 2.5 sampling on finished, unboxed goods while there is still time to rework.
  • Final random inspection — independent verification on packed cartons, covering workmanship, measurement, function, and packing — with photographic reports shared the same day.

Transparency you can verify

Third-party inspections by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or your own team are always welcome — we maintain an open-door policy on the production floor. Every order ships with a digital QC dossier: inspection reports, test certificates, and batch traceability back to fabric lots.
